Psoriasis is a condition that affects men and women equally and is not more prevalent in any particular race. Studies show that roughly 2% of all African Americans and 4% of all Caucasians are affected.
How do I know if I have psoriasis?
The best way to determine if you have psoriasis is to see a dermatologist, who can then properly diagnose the condition. If you do not regularly see or have access to a dermatologist, the physician at the Houston Center for Clinical Research can make a diagnosis.
How do I get help for my psoriasis?
The Houston Center for Clinical Research is currently enrolling in studies for plaque psoriasis (CLOSING SOON!!!) and scalp psoriasis. If you have roughly 3-12 handfuls of psoriasis on your body, please call 832-929-6221 to see if you qualify for the studies.
